Sir Roger Scruton

Sir Roger Scruton is a writer and philosopher who has authored or edited 52 books in philosophy, aesthetics, and politics. In the 1980s, he helped establish underground academic networks in Soviet-controlled Eastern Europe, for which he was awarded the Czech Republic’s Medal of Merit (First Class) by President Václav Havel in 1998. He is a fellow of the British Academy, the Royal Society of Literature, and the Ethics and Public Policy Center.
